Silent Sam Plinth Removal

Silent Sam Plinth Removal

from $20.00

On January 15, 2019, the plinth that held Silent Sam was removed from UNC Chapel Hill’s McCorkle Place where it stood as a monument to white supremacy for over 100 years. These black and white prints commemorate the work of hundreds of anti-racist activists over the past century that culminated in this victory despite the opposition of fascists, neo-Confederates, the state, and the governing bodies of the university itself.
